Apple's iPhone 7 will come in a stylish jet black variant, but the company recommends you cover it up with a case.

"The high-gloss finish of the jet black iPhone 7 is achieved through a precision nine-step anodization and polishing process," the new phone's official spec page explains in a tiny-print footnote at the bottom.

"Its high shine may show fine micro-abrasions with use. If you are concerned about this, we suggest you use one of the many cases available to protect your iPhone."

Apart from the new color, the iPhone 7 also brings a new A10 processor, water and dust protection while losing the headphone jack. The back of the iPhone 7 Plus features a dual-camera, which is absent from the smaller 7.
