Facebook's plans to make an Oculus-fueled virtual reality the future of social networking won't have one of the most popular games on its platform.
Minecraft founder Markus Persson, known as Notch on Twitter, tweeted that he was backing out of a proposed plan to build a version of the the game for the Oculus Rift on Tuesday.
"Facebook creeps me out," he said, explaining why he was scuttling Minecraft's proposed partnership with Oculus.
The tweet was but one example of many negative reactions on Twitter to CEO Mark Zuckerberg's plan to buy Oculus for about $2 billion.
Neither Minecraft nor Facebook immediately responded to a request for comment.
