Roger Stone Stirs Up Old Feud, Suggests Steve Bannon 'Gave The Order' To Breach Capitol On Jan 6

Longtime Republican operative Roger Stone pleaded the Fifth earlier this week in front of the House select committee investigating the Capitol riot, but Sunday morning he tossed Steven Bannon under the bus.

Stone, who has long been at odds with Bannon over the latter “testify[ing] falsely” against him during his criminal trial, took to the far-right messaging platform Telegram to suggest Bannon was behind the call to “breach” the Capitol building on Jan 6. “It is highly likely that [Steve] Bannon really gave the order to breach the capital [sic] and maneuvered patriots into dangerous positions,” he wrote. “A neophyte Steve Bannon was willing to try crazy things like this to curry favor with Trump who had a [sic] no interest in Bannon’s bullsh*t.”

On Saturday evening, appearing on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ InfoWars program, Stone advised Jones, who is currently cooperating with the House committee, not to take the committee’s inquires seriously. Stone added the advice doled out by him was not an effort to “obstruct justice,” but rather “friend to friend” legal advice. Stone didn’t return a Daily Beast request for comment on any evidence he has to back that claim.

The "election apparatus" worked just fine for more than 230 years. In fact we were the model for elections all over the word. 230 years of holding elections, counting the votes, accepting the results, and having a peaceful transfer of power. The "election apparatus" only became a problem because Trump lost a free and fair election.

Former Trump official turned right-wing provocateur Steve Bannon took things a step further Monday morning, pledging to one day soon take over the entire “election apparatus” in the United States.

“We are going to get it decertified,” Bannon said, referring to the 2020 presidential election, which the hotly contested MAGA character erroneously insists Trump won. “And hey, all they want to talk about all day long is Omicron and 6 January. Steve Bannon lashed out at several Republican senators on Wednesday after they reportedly convinced former President Donald Trump to cancel a press conference that was scheduled for the anniversary of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Axios reported this week that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Fox News host Laura Ingraham pushed Trump to cancel the Jan. 6 press conference.

During his Wednesday broadcast, Bannon was livid about the cancellation.

"We are never going to back off it," he explained. "And that's why President Trump tomorrow should step in front of the microphones at Mar-a-Lago. When Lindsey Graham is giving you advice, run the other way. That guy is wrong on everything. He's part of the problem, not part of the solution."

"Donald J. Trump should walk up tomorrow at Mar-a-Lago and the whole world would be there," he continued. "He's got command of the narrative. Nobody's got the facts better than Donald Trump. Nobody can give a press conference better than Donald Trump."

Bannon expressed anger at Graham and other Republican senators.

"If they are telling you not to do something, do the exact opposite!" he exclaimed. "They're not your friends and allies because they've drafted off your coattails forever and put the knife into you and cut you up a million ways from Sunday."

"So don't listen to them," Bannon added. "When Lindsey Graham tells you don't have a press conference, you know what you do? Say, hey, you know what? The press conference is going to go for five hours. Right? Five hours."
