Amazon Is Having Another Big Spring Sale This Year, Here's What We Know So Far

Amazon offers some great deals year-round, but some periods offer better bargains. Major shopping events like Prime Day and Cyber Monday bring some of the year's lowest prices, and in 2024, Amazon added a new event to its calendar. The first-ever Big Spring Sale took place in March 2024. Amazon just announced there will be another Big Spring Sale this year. Here's what we know so far.

Amazon has a track record of expanding its sale event offerings beyond the traditional summer Prime Day and fall Black Friday periods. In 2020, Amazon was forced to move its Prime Day sale to October because of the COVID-19 pandemic, though in subsequent years, the company has used the October timeframe to launch an additional Prime Day-like sale. Last year's Big Spring Sale must have been a success because another such sale was just announced. You'll find our predictions of what you can expect, along with some excellent deals already available, below.

When will the sale take place?

Amazon just confirmed a Big Spring Sale for this year. The Big Spring Sale is set to run from March 25 to March 31. It is one day longer than last year's sale, giving shoppers an extra day to scoop up some bargains.

What kind of deals will be available?

There are going to be thousands of limited-time deals for the Big Spring Sale. Last year, we saw plenty of sales on outdoor furniture, fitness deals, yard tools and spring cleaning essentials, although there were plenty of tech deals to be had. We saw some stellar headphone deals, TV sales and discounts on home security products, to name a few. 

Do I need a Prime subscription to shop the Amazon Big Spring Sale?

You do not need a Prime subscription to shop this sale. Although keep in mind, there will be Prime-exclusive deals in the mix. There are plenty of other Prime membership perks like two-day delivery, so an active Prime account is always a smart idea when going into these sales, but it isn't necessary for this one. 

Will other retailers have a spring sale?

Last year, we saw competitors like Best Buy, Target or Walmart offering their own spring sales. However, the best deals are typically price-matched across major retailers, and we'd expect that many of the bargains offered by Amazon will be available at a handful of other places.  

Should I wait for Prime Day?

Prime Day is one of Amazon's biggest shopping events, and the first Prime Day of the year typically takes place in July (with a second one kicking off the holiday shopping season in October). We're sure to see some excellent deals this summer, but outside of a small handful of once-a-year offers, you'll likely find similar savings available during the spring sale.

Are there any early deals available?

Even though the sale has just been confirmed today, there are already early deals.
