Galaxy Z Fold 2: Samsung's most luxe foldable phone yet

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is Samsung's third foldable phone. It opens into a full-size tablet, with an ultrathin foldable glass screen and high-end specs.

The Z Fold 2's magic is in the hinge, which can stand up on its own.

You have a wide range of angles to choose from, and a slick metal frame keeping the design looking clean.

This time, there's no giant notch obstructing the screen, giving you free and clear use of the display.

The Z Fold 2's 7.6-inch display inside is made from ultrathin glass.

On the front, a 6.2-inch display. It's still tall and thin, but with this configuration you're able to use it one-handed. You can open any app.

On the back, you have a three-camera system with 12-megapixel wide-angle, ultra wide-angle and telephoto sensors.

The crease is a thing, but doesn't get in the way of what you're doing.

Samsung shored up the gaps with black plastic. I couldn't push a fingernail through. 

You can fold the screen from a range of 75 to 115 degrees, Samsung guarantees, and maybe even more.

The hinge lets you go hands-free watching a video, taking a call and more.

You still have to treat the 7.6-inch screen gently to avoid scratches and damage to the ultrathin glass, and the phone isn't waterproof.

It's hard to tell, but the hinge is shorter than before and there's a solid black piece that helps keep cruft from falling in -- that's not a gap you're looking at.

New software makes it possible to use the outer screen as a giant viewfinder when taking a selfie with the rear cameras.
