Ring's $199 (£159) Stick Up Cam is weatherproofed for outdoor use.
It's also highly versatile in terms of power sources. You can either rely on the rechargeable battery, plug it in 24/7 via the included power adapter or spend an extra $49 (£40) for a solar panel accessory.
Like the Stick Up Cam, you can either mount the solar panel accessory to a ceiling or wall with the included hardware -- or simply set the built-in base on a flat surface.
That's what I did during testing, but it isn't the best option long-term. It makes the camera and any accessories much easier to steal and wind and other weather changes could easily move them around unexpectedly.
To connect the solar panel, simply plug the microUSB adapter into the back of Stick Up Cam.
Ring provides different base attachments so you can stick your Stick Up Cam pretty much anywhere.
This camera has 720-pixel live streaming resolution, but the quality could vary a lot depending on your Wi-Fi coverage.
It also has an 80-degree field of view, which is fairly small compared to competing brands -- and you have to pay for event-based cloud storage.
