What's new about the Samsung Galaxy S8? Oh, you know, just the curved screen and tall, slim, nearly bezel-less body.
This is the first Galaxy S phone (that isn't an Edge or a Note) to have that curved screen.
When the lock screen dims, you'll get the always-on display.
It feels light and smooth in the hand, and a little droppable.

From left: Samsung Gear VR (2017) with Controller, Galaxy S8, wireless fast charger, Samsung flip cover case, adaptors, AKG in-ear headphones, AKG over-ear headphones.
It also does away with the physical home button. (You're looking at the lock screen, by the way.)
Weirdly, the fingerprint reader moves to the back, off-center and really close to the camera lens. Too close for my liking.
The on-screen home button vibrates when you press it.
Samsung wedges more screen into a smaller body.
From left to right, the heart rate sensor and flash, 12-megapixel camera, fingerprint reader.
Both S8 and S8 Plus have the edge display found on Note and Edge phones.
It's the second Samsung phone to have a USB-C charger.
The S8, left, and S8 Plus, right.
Flipside! The S8, left, and S8 Plus.
In lieu of the fingerprint reader, you can use the iris scanner.
But you have to hold the phone level, and better lift those shades.
Side by side with the Galaxy S7, left.
Close up on the curve.
Samsung's Galaxy S8 rainbow: midnight black, arctic silver, orchid gray, coral blue and maple gold.
You can dip it in water without fear.
That is, for up to 3 feet and 30 minutes.
It supports wireless charging, too. (And here's a new dock.)
The 12-megapixel camera app gets a refreshed look.
Filters and decorations are front and center.
The Bixby assistant makes its debut (more later).
It still has the Always-On display.
Enjoy some more shots.

Bixby Home can show you appointments, headlines, your step count and so on. It can learn your habits and predict what you may want to do.
You can use Bixby Vision to scan wine...
... for more information.
Or a business card to extract data (the front side actually works better).
It can help you shop for an item like a book.
You can also translate text into over 50 languages.
You'll need the dock, a monitor, a keyboard and a mouse to access all the apps, photos and videos on your phone.
