The Hyundai Vision T concept has lots of angles and a lit-up grille

Hyundai's new Vision T concept is a close preview of the next-generation Tucscon crossover.

The Vision T is 5.3 inches longer than the current Tucson, and its wheelbase is 5.3 inches longer as well.

Hyundai says the Vision T is a new expression of its "sensuous sportiness" design language, and it's more angular than anything we've seen from the brand in recent years.

The front grille has hidden lights that only appear when on -- when the car is off, they just look like sections of the grille -- and each individual panel of the grille is an active air shutter.

These hidden lights were just debuted on the production facelift of the Grandeur in South Korea, so we bet they'll appear on the production Tucson, too.

As evidenced by the hidden charging port in the rear fender flare, the Vision T uses a plug-in-hybrid powertrain.

The Vision T's matte-green paint is offset by dark-orange brake calipers and satin exterior accents.

Even the roof lights up with a trapezoidal pattern.
