Nintendo kept to its word and didn't provide any new Switch 2 info during Thursday's Nintendo Direct. Even though the big Switch 2 reveal will happen next week, this event was all about the upcoming games for the original Switch, with some available Thursday and others coming later this year.
Metroid Prime 4, Pokemon Legends: Z-A and Shadow Labyrinth -- an interesting take on the Pac-Man formula -- were some of the new games shown during the stream Thursday. Two PlayStation franchises are also making the jump to Nintendo's console: Patapon and Everybody's Golf. Plus, Nintendo will revive two series that have been dormant for some time, Rhythm Heaven and Tomodachi Life.
The company also revealed a new virtual game card system to allow digital games to be easily moved between Switch consoles, including the Switch 2, and a new Nintendo news app.
