The Samsung Galaxy S25 phones were finally revealed at the company's Unpacked event alongside extended presentations on all the AI features coming in the handsets. But the showcase ended with a surprise tease: the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, a flagship smartphone that's incredibly thin.

Samsung's "one more thing" didn't have any details, just teasing the name and a few images of the S25 Edge's internals, including two rear cameras. But attendees of the Unpacked event in San Jose could get a look at the S25 Edge itself, as Techsponential president and lead analyst Avi Greengart posted on X (formerly Twitter).

From Greengart's view, the S25 Edge does look a couple millimeters slimmer than the block rectangles presumably meant to simulate the size of an average smartphone (it would've been nice to see it stacked next to the Galaxy S25 lineup Samsung publicly unveiled today). But aside from what looks like an antenna gap on the left side of the S25 Edge and the standard lock buttons and volume rocker on the right, Samsung doesn't seem to have anything else to share about the Edge at the event.

Most noticeably lacking is any info on when the S25 Edge will be released and how much it'll cost. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, posted on X that the phone will launch in the first half of this year in the US and elsewhere, and be priced below the $1,299 S25 Ultra. The notable Apple insider added that the S25 Edge will beat the so-called iPhone 17 Air, Apple's slimmer phone, to the market.

AT&T confirmed to CNET senior editor Eli Blumenthal that the carrier will sell the S25 Edge: "We're excited to announce that AT&T will be carrying the latest Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge model, a new addition to the Galaxy S25 lineup. Stay tuned for more details."
