Samsung's new Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch 7 made their debut as part of Wednesday's Samsung Unpacked event, showing off the company's latest smartwatches.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra is clearly a rival to the rugged Apple Watch Ultra, putting a round screen into a large 47mm case. That watch arrives alongside a new standard Galaxy Watch 7, which will come in smaller 40mm and 44mm designs.

While some of Samsung's devices are getting price increases for their base model over last year, like the new foldable Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, the Galaxy Watch 7's price will start at $300, just like last year's Galaxy Watch 6.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra will be Samsung's most expensive watch so far, starting at $650. That's still significantly less than Apple's $799 Watch Ultra.
